  • Overview

    The Google Student Veteran Summit is open to student veterans entering their first or second year of their full-time, U.S.-based MBA program in Fall 2019. Eligible applicants must have served in one of the following United States Military Services: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy.

    Students will be selected to attend one all-expense paid two-day summit at one of the following locations: Google New York: July 26 - July 27, 2019 Google Mountain View: August 9 - August 10, 2019

    Each two-day summit will include: An inside look at Google’s unique culture of impact and collaboration Exposure to our MBA internship and full-time opportunities Professional development sessions, including resume and interview prep Opportunities to meet with members of Google’s Veteran Community, GSVS alumni, and Googlers from various functional areas

    The 2019 Google Student Veteran Summit application will open on Friday, May 3, 2019 and close on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:59pm.

    Eligible students must:

    • Enter into a United States business school full-time program as a first or second year student in Fall 2019
    • Have served in one of the following United States Military Services: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy
    • Have authorization to work in the United States.
    • Accepted students must be able to attend the entire two-day summit
    • Demonstrate an interest in the technology sector

    This application includes a 500 word essay and a complete resume. Please set aside time to complete the entire form in one sitting, as we are not able to save your progress. The form will confirm when your application has been successfully submitted. If you need to edit your application responses, you'll be able to do so via a link provided after you hit submit. To request to have your data deleted, email studentveterans@google.com.

    What is the Google Student Veteran Summit (GSVS)? Students will be selected to attend one all-expense paid two-day summit at one of the following locations:

    What is the length of the program? Students will be selected to attend one all-expense paid, two-day summit at one of the following locations: Google New York: July 26 - July 27, 2019 Google Mountain View: August 9 - August 10, 2019

    Accepted students must be able to attend the entirety of the selected two-day summit. More information will be provided upon selection to the program.

    When will I find out if I’ve been selected? We will review all applications after the application closes on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:59 pm PT. We’ll reach out to all applicants to notify them of our decision by the early June 2019.

    I’ve already submitted my application but I’d like to update my resume. Am I able to do so? You will be submitting a Google doc version of your resume via a URL. Therefore, once you submit your application you are able to make direct edits to your resume until the application deadline on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:59 pm PT.

    Is the program all-expense paid? Yes, Google will cover the cost of travel, lodging, and meals during the GSVS program.

    What is the application essay prompt? In 500 words or less, please share how you are planning on leveraging your prior skills and experiences (including your military experience) to demonstrate impact in your future employment.
