Join one of the most innovative companies in tech and help businesses and their communities reach their full potential with Google products. Spark at Google is an 18-month digital marketing and sales program where you’ll gain the skills and experience you need to jump-start a successful career, while learning from the brightest minds in the industry and forming lifelong connections with Googlers from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

Develop your skills

During the program, you’ll receive comprehensive sales skills training with a focus on customer relationship building, problem-solving, growth marketing, and digital transformation.

Make a difference

As a member of the Google Customer Solutions team (GCS), you’ll work with a wide range of companies across industries and business types to understand their needs and develop digital marketing solutions that directly impact their success.

Build your network

From day one, you’ll train and grow with a tight-knit, diverse community of talented and driven peers – and foster connections with leaders in business and the best tech professionals in the world through team-bonding events, customer visits, and speaker series.

The role

Your day-to-day

Spark at Google team members are at the front lines of the Google Ads business. Every day you’ll be establishing, nurturing, and strengthening customer relationships and proactively communicating with customers on how to achieve their goals with Google Ads.

Your customers

Each quarter, you’ll work with a high volume of diverse small businesses that help shape the communities they serve, helping them reach their business goals online.

Your journey

During onboarding, you’ll receive six months of foundational and practical training.

Following onboarding, you’ll spend four quarters working with a portfolio of clients at scale to help them achieve their business goals.

At the end of your 18-month path, you’ll be matched with one of the many teams in GCS and placed into a more advanced role.

Your peers

Over the course of the program, you’ll learn, grow, and build lasting connections with a cohort of your peers, and receive guidance to help you through the program and beyond.

You’ll also have access to our 16+ employee resource groups (ERGs), which provide community for Googlers from underrepresented groups.

About the GCS team

By participating in the Spark at Google program, you’ll be joining the Google Customer Solutions team (GCS). The GCS sales team is committed to helping our customers grow by advising them on how to use Google’s digital marketing products and solutions. When our customers thrive, it creates a positive ripple effect that impacts all of us – whether that’s creating more jobs in our communities or helping Google invest in new solutions to help solve some of humanity’s biggest challenges.

Spark at Google is a program designed for people looking to begin a career in digital marketing and sales. This program brings together self-starters from a wide range of backgrounds and is designed for high-achieving candidates with a growth mindset who are interested in sales and helping impact the success of businesses, communities, and Google. How do I apply?

Applications will be listed on our Careers site. Check back periodically to see what roles are open and apply directly there. If you don’t see an open role, set up a “saved search” to get notified when future opportunities become available.

What happens at the end of the program?

At the end of the program, you’ll be matched with one of the many teams in GCS and placed into a more advanced role.

Our ultimate, long-term goal is to set you up for a successful career in sales and in tech.

I don’t have any sales experience. Can I still apply?

Sales experience is not a requirement for the Spark at Google program. We are more interested in what makes you you and what you’ll add to our culture. You’ll be given comprehensive, foundational training throughout the 18-month experience to set you up for success in sales.

What type of training and mentorship will I receive?

During your first six months, you’ll receive comprehensive and foundational sales training to set you up for success during your first career-building experience. Additionally, throughout the program you’ll receive continuous training to help you grow and develop your skills. The program training focuses on sales, growth marketing, and professional skills like customer relationship building, problem-solving, solution selling, influence, and digital transformation.

Throughout the program, you’ll learn and grow together with your cohort while getting the chance to meet and learn from senior sellers, managers, and leaders in the business. You’ll also have access to Google’s multiple mentorship programs.
